Terms of use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a CourtierIQ account, you accept these terms of use. CourtierIQ is SaaS software for mortgage brokers and their brokerages, operated by NovaTrait in Quebec, Canada.

2. Free trial

The free trial lasts 14 days from account creation. No credit card is required to start. After the trial, the service continues only if you choose a paid plan.

3. Subscription and billing

• Base plan: $99 CAD per month, or $990 CAD per year.
• Additional user seats: $59 CAD per month each.
• Additional storage: $10 CAD per 25 GB per month.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, with no pro-rated refund.
• Prices are in Canadian dollars, applicable taxes extra.

4. Your account and responsibilities

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You remain responsible for the personal information about your clients that you enter in CourtierIQ, and for obtaining the required consents (notably those under Law 25).
• Reselling, renting or sharing access to the service outside your brokerage, or using it for illegal purposes, is prohibited.

5. Nature of the calculations and tools

CourtierIQ's tools (GDS/TDS ratios, stress test, simulators, profitability analysis, intelligent assistant) are decision aids. Results must be verified by a professional: the broker remains solely responsible for their recommendations, submissions and practice compliance.

6. Intellectual property and data

• The CourtierIQ software, its brand and its content remain the exclusive property of NovaTrait.
• The data you enter remains yours. You can export it at any time during your subscription.

7. Service availability and support

We work to deliver a reliable, available service with regular backups. No online service can be guaranteed without interruption; access may be suspended temporarily for maintenance or security reasons.

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment or a material breach of these terms, with notice where possible.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version is published on this page. Material changes will be communicated in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada; any dispute falls under the competent courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
